Holy Name Summer Fete
School Fete
Yesterday we held our Summer Fete – we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all families for your generous donations and support.
We are always grateful for the help and support of parents and the school community in the preparation for, and attendance at, events. Yesterday we were overwhelmed by your support and generosity.
The event was enjoyed by pupils, past pupils, families, parishioners and staff. The stalls at the fete, along with generous donations raised a total of £1,931.25
This is an incredible amount and without your support we would not have been able to organise and run this event.
The money will be used to update our ICT equipment and ensure our pupils continue to have the best opportunities possible to develop their learning.
Leavers’ Assembly
Thank you to the families of Year 6 who joined us for Leavers’ Assembly this week. It was a lovely, if somewhat emotional afternoon.
We will miss Year 6 next year as they have all made many contributions to school life during their time in Holy Name School.
As we say goodbye to Courtney, Ffion, Finley, Ieuan, James, Jessica, Joshua, Katie, Kayleigh, Lloyd, Milo, Olivia, Ollie and Reuben we wish them every success in the next stage of their school careers.
Mission Together – Children helping Children.
We were delighted to welcome Canon Paul Watson to our school today.
Canon Paul told us more about Mission Together and we learnt about Sandra who is a refugee in Jordan.
We were delighted to be able to present Canon Paul with a cheque for £114 – this was money we raised last week on our Day of Many Colours. This money is enough to provide a meal for 76 children.
