Safety First

Fireman Lee visited school today and worked with Classes 2 and 5.

In class 5 we looked at how we can make sure we are using electrical items safely in our homes.

Missio Mass

Class 5 represented the school at The Diocesan Missio Mass yesterday. It was a joyful, uplifting day – we had a fabulous time.

We travelled to Swansea and joined all the other Catholic Schools in Menevia for a very special Mass.

The Mass was to celebrate Pope Francs’ Extraordinary Month of Mission. Father Anthony Chantry, National Director of Missio travelled from London to celebrate the Mass.

Mission Together was founded in France in 1843 by Bishop Charles de Forbin. At Holy Name School we are proud to continue his work of children helping children.

O Dduw ein Tad,
Mae dy Fab Iesu am inni rannu dy gariad â phawb.
Bydded i’r Ysbryd Glân ein helpu ni i ddod â goleuni dy gariad i’r byd cyfan, fel y daw pawb i weld Iesu fel ffrind a thywysydd iddynt.
Gofynnwn hyn trwy Grist ein Harglwydd.
Amen.

Seal Watching

Today Class 5 went out to Stumble Head to watch seals.

We talked about the fact that Pembrokeshire is full of amazing wildlife and we are lucky enough to have some of it right on our doorstep.

Izzy: It was extraordinary I loved watching the seals

Josie: I liked seeing the seals because they were cute – seeing them in the water was weird because first of all they were camouflaged on the rocks
