Dancercise

As part of our Wellbeing Week all classes took part in an energetic Dancercise session led by Miss McLoughlin.

Family members were invited to join us and we were thrilled to see so many taking part and having fun.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such fun – special thanks to Miss McLoughlin who must be exhausted after the last two days of high octane dancing!

Outdoor Classroom Day

Our school building was silent and empty on Wednesday as pupils and staff in Holy Name School enjoyed another successful Outdoor Classroom Day.

They enjoyed activities including playground games from around the world, den building, bug hunting, messy play, water slides, litter and recycling activities and marine conservation.

The pupils worked in mixed age groups and, as always it was a pleasure to see them supporting and helping another whilst having fun and learning.

Wellbeing Walk

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us on our mile walk this afternoon. It was lovely to see so many family members supporting the pupils on the beautiful sunny day.

As you know your names have now been entered into our time credits raffle – there are lots of great prizes up for grabs!

A great start to our Wellbeing Week.

Tomorrow there are mindfulness sessions in all classes, all family members are welcome to join us, just pop in. Times for each class have been shared on the classes individual Dojo pages.

The Community Fridge

Amy came to talk to us about the Community Fridge which has now opened outside the Abergwaun Gateweay Club.

This resource is for everyone in the local community and the aim is to make best use of food that would otherwise go to waste.

The space has a fridge and shelving area where a variety of different food products can be stored and made available for anyone to make use of.

For more information you can go to the website http://transitionbrogwaun.org.uk/community-fridges/ or follow their Facebook page to get updates about the food they have in stock.

This project is part of the national CommunityFridgeNetwork which is led by the environmental charity HUBBUB.
