Today pupils and staff of Holy Name School were joined by friends, family and parishioners for a special Mass.
100 years ago on June 7th, 1918 the school was solemnly consecrated to the Sacred Heart.
After Mass we invited everyone who had attended Mass to come back to the school hall where Class 5 had arranged a small exhibition of photographs showing some of the history of the school.
We also had a very special cake that we shared in the afternoon.
It was a really lovely celebration, with all the different generations present! Lovely to see the Parish involved also. Well done everyone involved.
