Class 5 visited the Cathedral in Swansea, they were delighted to attend the special Mass to celebrate the visit of the Papal Nuncio. It was lovely to see so many diocesan schools represented and to be part of it.
In the afternoon they visited the Waterfront Museum and enjoyed exploring forces with a workshop session and finding out about different games consoles from the 1970’s onwards.
Year 1 children successfully completed their Kerbcraft course and enjoyed sharing their road safety knowledge in Collective Worship. Sally from the PCC Road Safety team presented them all with certificates and goody bags. Llongyfarchiadau bawb!
Classes 1 and 2 enjoyed welcoming their families to our latest stay and play last week. Everyone explored a variety of science based activities – colour mixing, rainbow colours and exploding drinks were just a few.
This week Gardening Club harvested the apples growing in our school grounds. We worked with Hayden from the National Park to press the apples and made our own juice. Some of Yr 6 helped to sell the juice after school. All funds raised will go towards developing outdoor areas.
On March 22nd we will be celebrating World Book Day with several different fun activities. We are holding a Mr Potato Head book character competition. Turn an ordinary potato into a book character – you can use paint, paper, pipe cleaners…whatever you want…to create your potato head. Please bring them into school on Friday march 24th, give them to Mrs Beavis. There will be a prize for each class.
